- Implement existing laws against animal cruelty, maltreatment and neglect.
- Provide funding for trap, neuter and release programs to prevent street dogs and cats from breeding.
- All dogs and cats to be vaccinated against rabies.
- Ban dog and cat meat in Nigeria
The World Health Organisation warns that the dog and cat meat trade spreads rabies and increases the risk of cholera.
Dog thieves snatch dogs and cats from the streets, as well as steal them from back yards.
Dogs and cats are typically bludgeoned to death in front of each other, put in the de-hairing machine or skinned to remove fur .
While the carcass are blow-torched for sale to markets. The slaughter of Dog and Cats continues to occur in public places,

I urge you to outlaw the barbaric Dog and Cat Meat Trade which is a Danger to Animals and Human Health.
The Dogs and Cats of Nigeria need protection from ruthless criminal traders that torture abuse and murder these helpless animals for human consumption.
Dogs and Cats are Not food but are loyal companion animals that should be treated with kindness and respect and not brutalised and eaten.The brutal dog and cat meat traders are not only bringing shame on the great image of Nigeria but are putting human health at risk from consumption of dogs and cats in form of Cholera Rabies and other fatal diseases.
I urge you to ban the Sickening Dog And Cat Meat Trade/ Traders who are financially profiting from the suffering of animals and humans.
Additionally I would like to address the FALSE PROPAGANDA & MISCONCEPTIONS that has been spread to peddle Dog and Cat Meat by FALSELY claiming the following
1. False claims that dog meat will give them supernatural powers, protect them from fatal diseases and cure illnesses.
This is FALSE as clearly demonstrated by China’s vile Dog and Cat Meat Markets /Trade hence the CORONAVIRUS.2. That eating Dogs and Cats is a cure for malaria and a repellent against witches and wizards. Again this is FALSE
3. They believe that witches are too scared to attack dog eaters because eating dog meat neutralises the witches power, partly due to the dog’s penetrating eyes.
Again this is Clearly FALSE
If fact those who harm dogs cats and animals will no doubt face the consequence of their actions under the universal law of Karma.
I ask you to protect the Dogs and Cats of Nigeria and Outlaw the dog and cat meat trade and implement and enforce Animal Protection laws.
