Ban the Dog and Cat Meat Trade in Vietnam

An estimated 5 million Dogs and 1 million Cats are killed every year despite laws and regulations being in place to make it illegal. Implementation is extremely poor, with traders having a total disregard for law enforcement.

In 2018, Hanoi government officials called for an end to the Dog Meat Industry, citing health and public image concerns. A pledge to phase out the slaughtering and trading of dogs for meat by 2021 is yet to be actioned, but a nationwide crackdown is needed to avoid the trade simply shifting elsewhere.

- Implement existing laws against animal cruelty, maltreatment and neglect.
- Provide funding for trap, neuter and release programs to prevent street dogs and cats from breeding.
- All dogs and cats to be vaccinated against rabies.
- Ban dog and cat meat.

    I urge you to outlaw the barbaric Dog and Cat Meat Trade which is a Danger to Animals and Human Health.

    The Dogs and Cats of Vietnam a need protection from ruthless criminal traders that torture abuse and murder these helpless animals for human consumption.
    Dogs and Cats are Not food but are loyal companion animals that should be treated with kindness and respect and not brutalised and eaten.

    The brutal dog and cat meat traders are not only bringing shame on the great image of Vietnam but are putting human health at risk from consumption of dogs and cats in form of Cholera Rabies and other fatal diseases.

    I urge you to ban the Sickening Dog And Cat Meat Trade/ Traders who are financially profiting from the suffering of animals and humans.

    Additionally I would like to address the FALSE PROPAGANDA & MISCONCEPTIONS that has been spread to peddle Dog and Cat Meat by FALSELY claiming the following

    If fact those who harm dogs cats and animals will no doubt face the consequence of their actions under the universal law of Karma.

    I ask you to protect the Dogs and Cats of Vietnam and Outlaw the dog and cat meat trade and implement and enforce Animal Protection laws.
